MEET KATE

Kate’s story

Kate is a happy, determined little girl who loves music, dancing, swimming, stories and being surrounded by people.

She lives with Tatton-Brown-Rahman syndrome (TBRS) (opens in a new tab), with complex mobility, communication, breathing and vision needs. She uses a wheelchair and communicates through her eyes, expressions, movements and communication tools.

After years of therapy and major hip surgery, Kate is rebuilding strength, practising supported steps and becoming more independent in everyday moments. Her family’s wish is simple: the chance to communicate, participate and keep discovering what is possible.

A FEW HELPFUL ANSWERS

Give with
peace of mind.

Something else on your mind?

Let’s get in touch
How can I support Kate?

You can help by sharing Kate’s story, taking part in a community fundraiser or contacting us with an idea of your own. Online giving will open soon, with €3, €5, €10, €25, €40 and €50 monthly options and a one-off gift of your choice.

Why give a little every month?

Regular gifts make support more predictable, helping with ongoing care throughout the year. Choose the amount that feels right for you. Every contribution matters.

Is monthly giving a long-term commitment?

Monthly gifts renew until cancelled. Use “Manage my giving” with the email used at checkout to update your payment method or cancel before the next renewal. Cancellation stops future payments and does not refund previous gifts. For a mistaken or duplicate donation, contact kateferriggi@gmail.com so we can review your refund request.

Who is behind this appeal?

Voice for Kate TBRS Malta is a registered voluntary organisation supporting Kate’s care and independence. Our registration number is VO2497. View our entry in the official register (opens in a new tab).

What does my contribution support?

Fundraising supports Kate’s therapies and rehabilitation, communication tools, specialist care, care-related travel, mobility and daily-care equipment, and accessibility adaptations. For questions about donation use or a particular fundraiser, please email kateferriggi@gmail.com.

What does the funds-raised counter include?

The counter covers donations received through this website only. It excludes earlier fundraising, community events, bank transfers and gifts made on other platforms. Only completed payments count; refunds are deducted. Future monthly gifts are not counted in advance. The total is shown before payment-processing fees.
